This is how A Lot of Thanks handles your information when you use the iPhone app.

Information we process

We process your email address to create and secure your account. We store the gratitude moments you save, including their text, dates, edits, and generated summaries. Basic technical records may be processed to keep the service reliable and secure.

Voice recordings

When you record a moment, its audio is uploaded temporarily so it can be transcribed. The audio is deleted after successful transcription. Recordings that cannot be processed expire within 24 hours. A Lot of Thanks is not designed to keep a historical library of your audio.

AI processing

Speech transcription and daily reflections use automated AI services. We send the audio or text needed for the feature you asked for. The result may need a correction, so you can edit or delete any saved moment.

Service providers

We use service providers for account authentication, database hosting, temporary file processing, email delivery, speech transcription, and generation of reflections. They process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy obligations.

How information is used

Your information is used to operate the app, synchronize your history, transcribe recordings, generate summaries, secure accounts, and resolve reliability or safety problems. We do not sell your personal information or use your gratitude moments for advertising.

Your choices

You can edit and delete individual moments inside the app. You can export your saved moments and summaries from Profile. You can also delete your account from the app; this removes the account data controlled by A Lot of Thanks, subject to short operational backups and legal requirements.

Retention and security

Saved text remains while your account is active or until you delete it. Temporary audio follows the shorter retention described above. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

A Lot of Thanks is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app develops. The latest version and its effective date will remain available on this page.
